Though production is still more than a year out, GMC has just pulled the cover off of the second addition to the American brand’s new HUMMER EV lineup with the 2024 HUMMER SUV, sharing much of the design and many of the features of the original pickup bed-equipped model while adding some new tech and some increased off-roading capabilities.

Boasting a 9” shorter wheelbase, the electric truck offers 16” of ground clearance, 13” of suspension travel, more than 49-degrees of departure and approach angle, the ability to climb a 60-percent gradient, to scale 18” vertical objects, and wade through water crossings up to 2’ deep. Utilizing a unique indépendant body-battery structure with a double-stacked battery cell, the SUV is power by a tri-motor Ultium Drive system generating as much as 830hp and 11,500ft-lbs of torque, translating to 3.5-second 0-60mph times. Other highlights include a Power Station generator, a 13.4” infotainment display joined by a 12.3” diagonal driver display, smartphone digital key starting and unlocking, a range of up to 300 miles, a standard Infinity Roof with removable Sky Panels and I-Bar, CrabWalk modes, satellite-rendered trail mapping, One-Pedal Driving, and around 200 additional optional accessories, as well as several upgrade kits such as the Extreme Off-Road Package. Starting from $79,995, more info on the 2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV is available linked below.
