Who needs four wheels? Not EV maker Daymak. The company is building a three-wheeled car called the Spiritus Ultimate that is offering insane performance specs not just for a three-wheeler, but for any car. How insane, you ask? How about “0-60 mph in 1.8 seconds” insane.
Daymak is crowdfunding the project, which it hopes to launch in 2023 for a sticker price of $149,000. According to the company, the all-electric two-seater rides like a go-kart, but with that kind of power, you’re looking at one terrifying go-kart. The car will have an 80 kWh battery that’s good for a 300-mile range, while its 197 horsepower electric motor drives power to all three wheels. That doesn’t sound like a lot of power, but the Spiritus Ultimate weighs in at just 350 lbs. thanks in part to carbon fiber bodywork, making for a pretty solid power-to-weight ratio. Top speed is said to be above 130 mph, which, when combined with its light weight and autonomous driving feature, should make the car the dream vehicle of daredevils everywhere. Daymak is collecting funds for the project now, so if you’d like to get in on the action, head to the link below.
