Last year, after an extended, more than two-decade-long hiatus, Toyota released the fifth generation of the iconic Supra. And after previously deploying limited edition variants for its native Japanese market, the Aichi outfit has now unveiled its plans for a limited run of A91-CF (Carbon Fiber) Edition GR Supras that will be exclusive to the North American market for the 2022 model year.
Produced in Matte Gray Phantom, Absolute Zero White, and Nitro Yellow color options, the A91-CF-spec is powered by a 382hp turbocharged 3.0L inline-six that allows for sub-4-second 0-60mph runs. Elements unique to the A91-CF Edition include 19” matte-black forged aluminum wheels and a full exposed weave carbon fiber aero kit comprised of a front splitter with larger side canards, side rockers, a duckbill spoiler wing, and rear lower canards that collectively bolster downforce and increase stability. The A91-CF Edition’s interior also boasts a special red and black leather and Alcantara-upholstered cabin with heated 14-way adjustable power seats, a carbon-fiber trim package, and a 12-speaker JBL audio system. This limited edition carbon-clad edition also retains the regular model’s paddle-shifted eight-speed automatic ZF transmission, adaptive variable sport suspension, and Supra-branded red Brembo calipers. Scheduled for a release later this fall, the 2022 Toyota GR Supra A91-CF Edition is priced at $54,795 and will be limited to 600 units.
