While some Porsche fans were dubious about the brand’s first foray into fully electric vehicle production, the Taycan has erased all doubts. The hot performance sedan has been a top-seller for Porsche since debuting in 2020, and now the Stuttgart marque has made the car even better for the 2022 model year.
The 2022 Porsche Taycan is more of an evolution than a revolution over the 2021 model, but it does boast some much-welcomed improvements. First and foremost, Porsche has improved the day-to-day range of the car, though they haven’t given the exact number on what the new range will be (the ‘21 version has an EPA-estimated range of 225 miles). Android Auto has been integrated into the Taycan’s infotainment system, and a remote parking assist feature has been added to the electric car. Outside of the shiny new tech, Porsche has also added a new level of personalization to the Taycan with new Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus options. The former adds 65 new colors for clients to choose from, including retro tones from Porsche’s back catalog, while the latter allows owners to match their Taycan’s paint to nearly any shade they desire. The 2022 Porsche Taycan will begin rolling out in September.
