2021 has been an incredibly important year for Moto Guzzi, marking the Italian firm’s centenary. Alongside the announcement of a new factory and museum in Mandello del Lario and the debut of several 100th-anniversary edition models, Moto Guzzi has now revealed its all-new flagship motorcycle model with the V100 Mandello.
The V100 Mandello is a naked sport-tourer with a sleek set of sculpted bodywork that includes an electronically adjustable windscreen and active aero elements. At the heart of the forthcoming flagship, scoot is an all-new, roughly liter-sized, liquid-cooler transverse-mounted 90-degree V-Twin that’s expected to be complemented via a full electronics suite of rider aids. Taking obvious visual inspiration from retro Guzzis such as its Sport GT bikes, the V100 represents a step in a significantly more modern, high-tech, and performance-focused direction for the moto maker. Other highlights on the V100 include a single-sided swing-arm, quintuple Y-spoke wheels, a TFT display, and Brembo brakes. We also anticipate the Mandello marque to release multiple versions of the V100, including a top-shelf variant with upgrades like Ohlins suspension. The 2022 Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello is slated to make its full, official public debut in November at EICMA 2021.
