Honda has just pulled the cover off of its new 450cc competitor-focused motocross lineup, with its 2022 CRF450R range. Alongside the regular CRF450R, the budget-friendly CRF450R-S, and the upgraded CRF450RX, Big Red is also offering its most demanding customers a replica of its factory race bike with the 2022 CRF450RWE (or Works Edition).
Far more than just a CRF450R with a mere HRL race livery (though it does have that), the Works Edition CRF features a slew of race-spec hardware including a full titanium Yoshimura header and RS-12 can with a carbon fiber end-cap, a hydraulic Hinson clutch basket and cover, a Twin Air air filter, Throttle Jockey Team Honda HRC graphics package and seat cover, D.I.D DirtStar LT-X rims shod in Dunlop Geomax tires, a special gold RK chain, top-shelf fully-adjustable Showa suspension front and aft, petal-style rotors, black anodized triple clamps, and Renthal bars, bar pad, and Kevlar grips. The liquid-cooled 499.8cc single on this turnkey race bike also gets a special red cylinder head cover, hand-polished cylinder ports, launch control, and a trio of ride modes which are selected via GP-style switchgear. Weighing just 244lbs at the curb, the 2022 Honda CRF450RWE is available now, with a $12,399 MSRP.
