BMW Pays Respect To The Isle Of Man TT With An Exclusive S 1000 RR Moto

Since debuting in 2010, BMW’s S 1000 RR has proven to be a dominant force at the Isle Of Man TT, first breaking a 75-year winless streak in 2014 and then going on to take subsequent titles in 2016, 2018, as well as 2019. So, while the historic event may be canceled once again for 2021, BMW France felt that a special new celebratory literbike offering was in order all the same.

It’s called the S 1000 RR Isle of Man Edition, and it’ll be limited to just 50 examples total. Bridging the gap between BMW’s high-performance M and Motorrad arms, it wears an exclusive ‘Isle of Man Green’ paint typically only offered on the new M3 Competition sedan. And that’s not all; elsewhere, you’ll find other race-inspired details like a tinted flyscreen, yellow LED light covers, copper-colored forged rims, and an inscription on the gas tank denoting the bike’s status. Much more than a mere aesthetic update, the Isle of Man RR also gets optional upgrades like heated grips from BMW’s Dynamic Pack, a Laptrigger GPS and endurance chain from its Sport Pack, and even a lightweight battery, an M swingarm, and some Pro riding modes from its Race Pack. Available only in France, it’ll run you €33,005 (~$40,000).

Purchase: $40,000
