The 2022 Continental GT ‘Speed’ Is The Most Capable Car Bentley’s Ever Made

Last year, Bentley announced its “Beyond100” initiative in which it would commit to full electrification by 2030. And while part of the process involves phasing out its gas-powered cars in favor of hybrid-electric offerings, it seems the British automaker isn’t quite ready to send its glorious W12 to the junkyard in the sky. That’s because the 2022 Continental GT has arrived.

And along with it, a new Speed model — aka “the most capable, performance-focused Bentley ever.” In fact, everything about the car has been designed to deliver a dynamic driving experience, from its electronic all-wheel steering to its platform-first electronic limited-slip rear differential. And that’s not all — Bentley’s also given the new Conti GT Speed a three-chamber active air suspension setup and a carbon ceramic brake system, a combination that ensures incredibly tidy cornering. Under the hood, the 6.0-liter W12 TSI has been treated to an upgrade good for 650hp and 664lb-ft — enough to sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.5s before climbing all the way to 208mph. Oh, and as you’d expect with any Bentley, the interior is nothing short of sublime, with Alcantara, quilted leather, and carbon fiber as far as the eye can see. You can enquire at the link below.
