While IMZ-Ural’s basic motorcycle and sidecar design has seen very few changes since the Russian’s “mimicked” the design of BMW’s R71 in the 1940s, the Irbit-based marque routinely churns out small-batch limited edition variants of its iconic three-wheeled offerings. Limited to only 20 units globally, Ural’s latest limited edition model is the 2021 Gear Up GEO, a ruggedized off-road side-hack with a slew of performance upgrades and accessories and a seriously idiosyncratic paint job.
Decked out in a slick quad-tone geometric camouflage paint livery, the Gear Up GEO was designed to allow for an even more competent off-road machine, benefiting from a full site of crash protection, crash bars, and brush guards, protected auxiliary lighting, gas-charged multi-way adjustable Nitron shocks, knobby Heidenau K37 tires, a two-into-one GPR exhaust, several mounting bars and racks, a spare tire covered by an additional rack, a 1.5-gallon RotoPax fuel container, and a RAM mount and USB port for connecting a GPS or nav system. Unlike the previous version of the Gear Up, which was primarily just a styling exercise, the 2021 three-wheeled adventure moto machine actually appears to now possess some serious dirt-going chops. Available now, the 2021IMZ-Ural Gear Up GEO is priced at $26,999.
