Mercedes-AMG Rolls Out Restyled & Upgraded E 53 Coupe & Cabriolet Models

As 2020 marches on, Mercedes-Benz has continued introducing new and updated additions to its popular E-Class range, and fresh on the heels of the range’s newly-unveiled sedan, the German brand has now pulled the cover off of the latest and most elite members of the lineup with the 2021 AMG E 53 Coupe and AMG E 53 Cabriolet.

The most obvious changes to the prestigious cars is their styling, which, like the aforementioned sedan, have been treated to sleek aesthetic revisions — areas that can be made all the more exotic via the addition of the new E 53’s optional blacked-out AMG Night package or Carbon Fiber package. Inside, the vehicles not only boast all-new fascias, but also new MBUX infotainment systems with a central touchscreen and digital instrument cluster that both measure 12.3”. And while the new models get special fuel mapping modes, AMG’s SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G (9-speed) transmission, and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ variable all-wheel-drive system, the turbocharged 3.0L inline-six engine, and its 429hp and 384ft-lbs of torque rating go unchanged for 2021. Offered in a variety of new colors, pricing for the cars has yet to be announced, though they are expected to carry MSRPs similar to the outgoing model’s $75K and $80K price tags.
