Maserati Honors Juan Manuel Fangio With Two Limited Edition ‘F Tributo’ Cars

Only a dozen years after its inception in 1914, Maserati took part in its first-ever race with the 1,500cc Type 26 — an event that occurred exactly 95-years-ago today, to the day. 28-years the elite Italian automaker would compete in its first F1 event with legendary driver, Juan Manuel Fangio at the helm of a 250F — kicking off a long and fruitful partnership between Maserati and Fangio which the brand is now celebrating via the release of a pair of special edition models christened the F Tributo Special Editions, with the “F” being short for “Fangio.”

The F Tributo treatment has been given to both the Maserati Levante and the Ghibli. Both feature contrasting yellow brake calipers and wheel stripes that are a nod to the red and yellow livery on Fangio’s 250F, as is the red and yellow stitching found in the special edition models’ black full-grain “Pieno Fiore” leather-upholstered interior. Other details unique to the F Tributo models include body-color-matched Trident logos on the C-pillars, blacked out 21” wheels — Titano units on the Ghibli and Anteo items on the Levante – with matching blacked-out Trident logos, and special F Tributo badging and branding inside and out. Available in the UK later this year, the 2021 Maserati Ghibli & Levante F Tributo Special Editions start from approximately $121,600 (or £87,565) and $127,600 (or £91,885), respectively.
