In an effort to flex its decade of experience developing the upcoming Evija electric hypercar, the storied British brand will be joining team JBXE Racing as a technical partner to provide the car you see before you. Manned by 2009 F1 World Champion Jenson Button and multiple Scandinavian Touring Car race winner Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsk, it’s set to make its opening drive in the Desert X Prix slated for April 3rd and 4th in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. It’s worth noting that while Lotus has won its fair share of Formula 1 titles, off-road racing is a different matter.
