In-house customization programs are nothing new in the automotive world, giving discerning customers the option to personalize their rides for an added fee, however, Lamborghini is now allowing buyers the chance to build out and order their own bespoke hypercar from the comfort and safety of their own home.
Rather than traveling to Bolognese and selecting paint, trim, stitch, wheel, performance, and accessory options in person, this new version of the program is entirely run online, enabling customers to build out a bespoke hypercar through the company’s online configurator, though the prestigious experience also includes video chat consultations with staffers in Italy. To kick-off the online studio, Lamborghini has announced the 2021 Aventador SVJ Xago: a special edition Super Veloce Jota available only through the new online platform and limited to only ten units worldwide. Distinguishing the Xago-spec from the regular half-million-dollar hypercar is a hexagonal-themed livery — inspired by the shapes found at the north pole of Saturn — with a grey base with blue accents, a gloss black set of Nireo Ad Personam rims, an interior with an exclusive hexagonal seat pattern, and a serialized plaque denoting each of the ten specimen’s respective production number.
