Jeep Honors Its Roots With An Upgraded Willys Edition Gladiator

Long before growing into the massive FCA-owned outfit that it is today, the Jeep brand originally operated under the “Willys” banner, producing rugged and utilitarian predecessors to the iconic company’s current range of trucks and SUVs. And though it’s been out of use for decades, Jeep is reviving its original monicker to deliver the upgraded 2021 Gladiator Willys Edition.

Building on what Jeep already touts as its “most off-road capable truck ever,” the Willys Edition Gladiator comes adorned in a special exterior design with a Willys hood decal, vintage 4WD badging, a gloss black grille, and 17” aluminum wheels shod in 32” BFG all-terrain rubber. The 3.6L Pentastar V6 at the heart of the Gladiator also gets Jeep’s Command-Trac 4×4 part-time and two-speed transfer case with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio, while additional highlights include Rubicon cab rock rails and shocks, all-weather slush mats, a special cargo box, and numerous blacked-out accents. Offered in eight colors, the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Willys Edition is available now, with pricing starting from of $35,265.
