HPE Unleashes A 405HP Off-Road-Ready VelociRaptor 400 Bronco

In late 2020, not long after Ford officially debuted the new Bronco range, Hennessey Performance Engineering treated the modern-retro SUV to a 750HP upgrade with the VelociRaptor V8. Fast forward to today and the Texas-based tuner has now revealed its latest up-specced version of the American-made SUV with the “VelociRaptor 400 Bronco.”

The newest VelociRaptor is based on the Michigan manufacturer’s twin-turbocharged 2.7L V6 platform, though the addition of a new intake and exhaust system, along with an HPE engine calibration allows the six-banger to pump out an additional 75hp, bringing its power output up to 405hp (and 503ft-lbs of torque), and allowing for sub-five-second 0-60mph times. Available in two or four-door versions, with, or without a soft-top, the VelociRaptor 400 Bronco also boasts 18” Hennessey wheels shod in 35” all-terrain tires, upgraded electronic fold-out steps, VelociRaptor bumpers fore and aft, and Hennessey and VelociRaptor exterior badges. The interior of the Bronco also sports Hennessey embroidered headrests and a serialized number plaque. Backed by a three-year, 36,000-mile limited warranty, the 2021 Hennessey Velociraptor 400 Bronco will be limited to just 200 units in total and will start at $80,000.
