As Hyundai adds one automotive masterpiece after another to its luxury Genesis lineup, one thing has become abundantly clear: it’s not playing around. What’s more, the South Korean automaker just announced its first foray into the European market, a move that means this gorgeous little number is about to challenge the likes of Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz on their home turf.
It’s called the Genesis G70 Shooting Brake, and it’s essentially a stylish, wagonized version of the G70 sedan. So, even though it wears a similar grille and front end, look beyond the B-pillar and you’ll find a sharply tapered hatch, a wraparound rear window, and a floating spoiler overtop a set of dramatic quad taillights. It’s a transformation that’s made the car all the more practical, for it sees a 40% increase in cargo capacity whilst retaining the same wheelbase. And, if that’s not enough, the rear seats can even be folded in a 4:2:4 configuration, ensuring that the trunk is as flexible as it is spacious. There are no powertrain details as of yet, but don’t get your hopes up if you’re in the US — this one’s only for Europe.
