Ford Unveils A New F-150-Based Off-Road Pickup With The 4×4 Tremor

Since the launch of the first-generation SVT Raptor in 2010, Ford has become a trailblazer in the high-performance pickup sector, with the ruggedized F-150 offering ample dirt-going capabilities at a sub-$55K MSRP. For the 2021 model year, Ford is unleashing a genuinely high-performance F-150-based pickup at what’s expected to be a markedly more accessible price with the new F-150 Tremor.

Based on the F-150 SuperCrew and its 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine, Ford’s aluminum frame has been paired with upgraded off-road suspension, front hub knuckles, upper control arms, and dampers that collectively allow for approach and departure angles of 27.6 and 24.3 degrees respectively. Available with an optional Torsen limited-slip diff, the F-150 Tremor gets a revised body kit, a myriad of different ride modes—including deep mud, sand, snow, and Rock Crawl modes—and a revised interior with orange accent piping that matches the vehicle’s dedicated exterior livery. Though pricing has yet to be announced, the 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor is expected to hit dealerships in the Summer of 2021.
