Filson & Ford Collaborate On A Wildland Fire Rig Bronco For The NFF

In addition to being an accomplished SUV for off-road enthusiasts, the OG Bronco served in its fair share of emergency applications. From robust road patrol vehicles to burly fire rescue cars, it’s been done up in all manner of first-response fixtures. In keeping with tradition, Ford has decked out its forthcoming Bronco as a field-ready forestry rig.

Born out of a collaboration with Filson, the Ford Bronco Wildland Fire Rig was inspired by the U.S. Forest Service Broncos of old. It sports its forebearer’s iconic green paint scheme in addition to a host of add-ons making it ready for duty. Up front, it’s been fitted with a steel Ford Performance bumper and a WARN Zeon 10s winch — a capable combination for in-the-field action. It also receives a custom roof rack mounted with a light bar and a number of firefighting essentials. At the rear, it gains a fire rescue transport skid, a fire hose reel, as well as a high-pressure water pump and a 50-gallon tank. Inside, it features Filson materials throughout the cabin, including duck canvas trim and quilted leather seats. As part of the collab, Filson is selling several Bronco-branded products to benefit the National Forest Foundation.
