After an extended hiatus, Spain’s El Solitario MC has just revealed its first new one-off build in several years, teaming up with Elektrafuture and Cake to customize one of the Swedish marque’s fully-electric Kalk OR dirt bikes.
Christened the “Commando,” the project started out as a 2021 OR-spec Kalk, though has since been treated to numerous performance and aesthetical upgrades. The Cake Kalk’s stock custom-designed 24” wheels have been swapped out for a bespoke set of Excel hoops with a 19” front wheel and an 18” unit in the rear — both wrapped in Dunlop Geomax MX knobbies — and the OR’s 38mm three-stage air spring-equipped inverted Öhlins fork has been tuned by suspension specialist, AndreaniMHS. David Borras and the gang have also bestowed the Cake with an MX fender plucked from a Husqvarna TC85, along with a furry El Solitario Racoon Seat. The donor has also been repainted by Pau’s Speed Shop in the same vibrant camo scheme used on the Mowat Camo Drystar jacket and pants from El Solitario’s recent collaboration with Alpinestars.
