Each year, Jeep treats the Easter Safari to a showing of its off-road expertise in the form of experimental Wrangler concept vehicles. But with the production of the hotly-anticipated Bronco on the horizon, Ford took 2021 as an open invitation to crash the party.
At this year’s event, the Blue Oval will be bringing not one, not two, but five different Bronco-based builds. For instance, Vaugh Gittin Jr’s RTR Vehicles took a four-door Badlands spec and gave it a custom rear bumper and rock sliders, a 3D-printed grille, as well as a roof-mounted lightbar, a rear-mounted refrigerator/freezer unit, and a set of Tech-6 wheels shod in 35-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. But that’s not all — ARB 4×4 Accessories also got its hands on a Badlands, fitting it with a differential cover, an air compressor, and some protective guards. And when it comes to the builds from 4-Wheel Parts, you’ll find both a heavy-duty Black Diamond model (complete with new suspension, bigger tires, skidplates, and a grip of overlanding gear) in addition to a Sport with a rooftop tent. Rounded out by an Outer Banks four-door wearing a host of Ford’s own performance parts, it makes for a lineup that’s hard to forget.
