Back in late 2019, Kawasaki announced it had acquired a significant stake in Bimota. Team Green’s first order of business was to release a collaborative project that combined the boutique Italian marque’s hub-center-steered TESI model with Kawa’s supercharged inline-four platform to create the TESI H2. Almost a year after its initial unveiling at EICMA, the companies have revealed a production-ready version of the exotic Japitalian two-wheeler along with official pricing and specs.
Dressed in hand-painted carbon fiber bodywork, the TESI H2 is a top-shelf motorcycle through and through, built around an advanced aluminum chassis and front and rear swing-arms that are all CNC-machined from aluminum billet, and outfitted with top-of-the-line Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, and 17” forged wheels. Weighing just 456lbs, the Kawasaki x Bimota bike puts down a whopping 228hp and 104ft-lbs of torque, thanks to a specially tuned version of the company’s liquid-cooled 998cc supercharged inline-four with an 8.3:1 compression ratio, aligning much more closely with Kawa’s track-only H2 R engine. Production is limited to 250 units for the first batch of bikes—which are slated to ship out in October—with pricing set at approximately $75,600.
