Bentley Drops The Top On The Ultra-Luxe 208 MPH Continental GT Speed

With a twin-turbocharged 6.0L W12 engine putting out 650 horsepower and 664 ft-lb of torque, the Bentley Continental GT Speed sits at the top of the British auto marque’s esteemed grand touring lineup. But now it’s getting some topless company in the form of the new Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible, which boasts the same impressive power numbers as its coupe sibling.

Like the coupe, the Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible has a top speed of 208 mph, but unlike the coupe, it also has a Z-fold roof that can open and stow away in just 19 seconds. At the heart of this luxury ragtop is a new advanced chassis that’s bursting with a suite of technological innovations to help you control all those ponies. The car features electronic all-wheel steering, torque vectoring by electronic limited-slip differential, three-chamber active air suspension with adaptive damping, and the Bentley Dynamic Ride electric active roll control system that features powerful electric motors within each anti-roll bar to resist body roll. All this in a convertible that’s just as quiet as the previous-gen Continental GT Coupe. Pricing for the Continental GT Speed Convertible hasn’t been released yet, but Bentley is taking orders.
