Just two weeks after Aston Martin revealed its first Formula One car in over 60 years in the AMR21, the legendary auto marque is taking their resurrected racing heritage to the streets with the new Vantage F1 Edition.
The Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition now sits atop the Vantage line as the fastest and most-powerful expression of Aston Martin’s entry-level model. Based on the F1 Safety Car Vantage and borrowing several of its technologies, the car has received a number of upgrades to the engine, chassis, and aerodynamics to make it quicker around the track. Horsepower has been increased from 503 in the standard Vantage to 527 in the F1 Edition, and while the peak torque output remains unchanged, it can now be sustained for longer. The suspension and steering have been reworked to increase front structural stiffness and improve steering feel and response for more confident handling. New 21” wheels have migrated over from the Safety Car, and an aerodynamic body kit adds 200kg more downforce at top speed compared to the regular Vantage. Available in three trims, including Aston Martin Racing Green livery, the Vantage F1 Edition is on sale now through Aston Martin.
