Ford’s historically-significant Mustang pony car has had a long history and a huge number of trims over the years. But those crafted by Shelby are most definitely amongst the most legendary. And they just got even more enticing for the 2020 model year with the announcement of the Shelby Super Snake Bold Edition.
According to Shelby, this new Mustang GT-based edition is the “best all-performing Super Snake in [their] history.” And that’s saying a lot, coming from them. However, a gander at the performance specs definitely confirms the claim. That includes a horsepower output of 825, courtesy of a tweaked, supercharged power plant based on the lauded Coyote 5.0L kept in check by the Shelby Extreme cooling system. It’s also available with a reinforced Shelby by Penske suspension system, which helps with overall rear cornering power and stability. And, of course, they’re offered in a trio of vibrant, retro colorways — which extend to the fully-featured interior, as well.
