2020 RAV4 TRD Off-Road

For the first time ever, Toyota’s popular compact SUV will receive the Toyota Racing Development (TRD) treatment — and the makeover is astonishing. Thanks to the desert racer-inspired upgrades, the 2020 RAV4 TRD Off-Road SUV has go-anywhere capabilities so you can enjoy the rugged backcountry in America’s best-selling non-pickup truck.

The RAV4 TRD features off-road suspension influenced by the Rally RAV4 Race Team, dynamic torque vectoring all-wheel drive, internal rebound springs, TRD 18-inch matte black aluminum wheels, and Fallen Wildpeak A/T all-terrain tires for improved traction. The compact SUV is powered by a four-cylinder 203 hp engine paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. You can even take more equipment with you in this ride, as it’s rated to tow up to 3,500 lbs. Stepping inside, you’ll find beautiful red detailing, quilted ‘SofTex’ seats, and TRD all-weather floor mats. There is no word on the pricing yet, but Toyota should be releasing the model later this year.
