Arctic Trucks Ruggedized Ford’s F-150 Pickup For Off-Road Ice Adventures

For the last 30 years, Iceland’s Arctic Trucks has been modifying and upgrading 4x4s, originally ruggedizing these vehicles to better cope with the harsh terrain of the company’s Scandinavian homeland before later blessing other regions of the world with its hardwearing four-wheeled wares. Arctic Trucks currently offers services for vehicles from eight different manufacturers including Ford and its F-350, though the company has now turned its attention to Ford’s F-150, bestowing the popular pickup with the Icelandic outfit’s signature arctic off-road treatment to create the new 2020 F-150 AT44.

While details are scant, it’s clear the Ford has been outfitted with new flared fenders, a skid plate, and auxiliary LED lighting, though based on the company’s prior transformations, we’re expecting a host of other off-road upgrades, as well. The AT44’s moniker also denotes the vehicle’s being equipped with massive 44” Nokian Hakkapeliitta snow tires wrapped around custom wheels. Arctic Trucks has yet to reveal pricing or which of the 2020 F-150’s V-6 engines (or lone V-8 lump) will power the AT44, though the twin-turbo 3.5L or turbo-diesel 3.0L V-6s seem likely choices. For more information on Arctic Truck’s 2020 F-150 AT44, keep your eyes peeled for updates on the company’s website or social media channels.
