BMW’s suite of vehicles are all quite stylish, iconic, and worth your cash. But if you’re the type to value performance over all else, you probably gravitate toward their sport-focused M Series. Two more offerings can now be counted amongst the M Series ranks with the release of the 2020 X7 and X5 M50i.

As we’ve come to expect from BMW’s M Series, the X7 and X5 get a wealth of notable upgrades. Most importantly, they’ve both been equipped with a new TwinPower Turbo V8 petrol engine that’s good for 523 horsepower and 553 ft-lbs of torque — giving the M7 a 0-62 time of 4.5 seconds and 4.1 seconds for the M5. That powerplant is also mated to the M Series exhaust, an 8-speed Steptronic sports transmission, intelligent all-wheel-drive, and special sport-tuned suspension systems specific to the two SUVs. Along with M Series badging throughout, the SUVs also get some exclusive styling — like Vernasca leather upholstery, Anthracite (X5) and Alcantara Anthracite (X7) headliners, and the X7 also gets a Harmon Kardon sound system. Production for each vehicle is slated for August with prices for the X5 M50i and X7 M50i starting at $82,150 and $99,600 respectively.
