Hookie Co. Modernizes The Cafe Racer With Its Ultra-Limited ‘Cobra’ Moto

After the success of the Dresden shop’s scrambler kit for BMW’s R nineT, Hookie Co. has now pulled the cover off its latest multi-bike series based on the Bavarian brand’s heritage model, with the “Cobra.”

Adorned in a black livery with a choice of one of five accent colors, the Cobra sports a sleek cafe racer aesthetic, with an aggressive stance and a full set of bespoke low-profile bodywork, with a custom knee-notched tank-cover, a futuristic sportbike front fender, and a headlight cowl shrouding the Cobra’s Koso Thunderbolt LED headlight. The knurled fuel-cap found on the shop’s earlier R9T bolt-on kit also appears on the Cobra. The R9T’s framework now includes a dead-straight rail, running for the entirety of the build from beneath the headstock to the back of the new subframe where it culminates in a lightly kicked-up hoop that’s capped off with an extremely-waspish tail cowl with spaces cut out of the back to reveal the glow of the integrated taillight. The cafe’d R9T also gets pod filters and a custom blacked-out two-into-one exhaust. Limited to 10 units, Hookie Co.’s Cobra is available for pre-order now, with pricing set at $38,140 (including the $15,495 price of a 2020 BMW R nineT donor).
