Bentley’s Continental GT Mulliner Boasts 400K-Stitch Hand-Sewn Upholstery

When speaking on the world’s most renowned coachbuilders, Mulliner is always at the top of the class. As the oldest and quite possibly the most respected around, the company has enjoyed a long career as Bentley’s go-to for the outfit of its most illustrious cars. And now, the division’s 2020 Continental GT Convertible is making its way to market.

Like most of Mulliner’s hand-crafted models, the 2020 Bentley Continental GT Convertible boasts an array of lavish components, peripherals, and upholstery. Inside the vehicle’s cabin, you’ll find plenty of interesting details, including a contrasting diamond-milled technical finish, brushed silver Breitling timepiece set, and a 400,000-stitch quilt that makes up the majority of the tourer’s upholstery. A total of 712 individual stitches have been painstakingly sewn into each of the vehicle’s diamonds, meeting at the center to create a precise, symmetrical pattern. Head outside of the Continental, and you’ll be treated to a visual display of elegance, thanks to a set of 22-inch 10-spoke wheels complete with self-leveling wheel badges, eight custom-made split-color combinations, and a powerful 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged W12 (or V8) below the hood, allowing it to accelerate from 0-60 in just 3.7 seconds. Keep your eyes peeled for the car to debut at the Geneva International Motor Show on March 3.
