The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is already a formidable 4×4 truck — and one that was made all-the-more capable with the addition of the company’s premium Bison package, which introduced features like fog lights, body-borne recovery points, and boron steel shields. But that wasn’t enough for American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), who’ve just announced that they’ve penned two hardcore, performance-enhancing versions for the 2020 Colorado models.
Dubbed the AEV Colorado ZR2 and ZR2 Bison, these awe-inspiring aftermarket pickups have already made their debut on the company’s website. An elaborate play on Chevrolet’s already-upgraded ZR2 the AEV Colorado ZR2 Bison boasts an expansive range of enhanced peripherals. After opting-in for Chevrolet’s $5,750 Bison package, consumers will have the option to pay an additional $11,949 for AEV’s enhanced suite of off-road adornments, that include Crestone Onyx DualSport Beadlock wheels, 35-inch BFG Mud-Terrain tires, 4.10 gearing, a GM Performance suspension leveling/tie rod sleeve kit, and a protective skid plate over the truck’s rear differential. AEV’s more expensive ZR2 kit is also available for $12,999, featuring all of the same upgrades as the Bison, but with a bespoke rear bumper, and the possibility for an aftermarket winch system. Both builds are currently listed for order on AEV’s website.
