The ability to blend the most influential aspects of a product’s design is a gift — one that transcends the popularity of a specific style, structure, or persona. As one of the most prolific footwear manufacturers on the planet, Nike has perfected this type of artistic collaboration; if not with other companies and designers, then with their own aesthetically-pleasing shoes. Now, the brand has made waves in the industry, once again, with their newly announced hybrid sneaker, the Air Max 270 React.

Relying upon various design cues from the popular Element React 87, the 270 React successfully embody the athletic presence (and stylish exterior) associated with the brand’s progenitive shoe. Minimalist touches from the original 270 Air unit are also present, harkening back to the breakaway hit that the company released last year. This time, however, the inclusion of a white new-sew upper and black, red, teal, blue and yellow accents give some welcome improvements to the shoe — making it a standout piece due to its Bauhaus-inspired design. To push the 270 further into modernity, Nike has opted to include their aptly-named React technology, which improves cushioning, responsiveness, and comfort while traversing any terrain. The price for these pastel wonders still hasn’t been announced, but you can expect the 270 React to hit retailers on July 3.
