Allied Cycleworks Brings Race-Winning Performance To The Gravel

The marriage between road bikes and their off-road brethren has been in full swing for quite a while now, and we’re happy to report that the relationship is proceeding rather swimmingly. To further illustrate the amazing collaboration between the two different styles of riding, Allied Cycleworks has created the Allied Able, an aptly-named cycle that’s ready and willing to take on any terrain you put in front of it.

The Allied Able is a high-performance drop bar Gravel bike that embodies the company’s free-spirited attitude. Instead of brandishing the large, cumbersome attributes of its Fat Bike cohort, the tasteful cycle leans toward the self-proclaimed “mountain skinny” segment, boasting a short rear end, an elevated drive side chainstay, and Panaracer Gravel King tires for a responsive feel on (and off) the pavement. To achieve the bike’s high-performance pedigree, the company has implemented an off-road ready headtube angle and a revised stack height that’s slightly taller than their road-faring platforms, alongside a well-endowed SRAM Force, Eagle, or Red gearset (depending on the variant you choose). The Able comes in three different customizable variations, with the base offering clocking in at just under $5,300.

Purchase: $5,300
