It’s not unusual to hear stories of haughty young men getting behind the wheel of too-powerful automobiles and wrecking them. In fact, it’s so common, it’s almost cliched. What’s a bit more unusual is when those same men, after growing up and establishing their lives and careers, return to the vehicles they wrecked in their younger years. But that’s exactly the story with this 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS from Classic Car Studio.
This particular story dates back to the 1970s, when a future customer of CCS wrecked his brand-new Chevelle muscle car in a head-on collision after being forced into oncoming traffic by a panel van. Several decades (and vehicles) later, that customer sought out CCS to build a no-holds-barred dream version of the car he totaled 32 years prior. The result is nothing shy of jaw-dropping, as you can see for yourself. Hidden beneath the all-black paint job is a supercharged LS9 engine capable of a whopping 650 horsepower, a modified MRC Fab chassis with an independent rear suspension, and too much more to list. The custom tan leather interior with its carbon fiber dash complements the sinister exterior and magnificent performance perfectly. As far as dream builds go, this one ranks amongst the best.
