Every year, renowned vehicle manufacturers bolster their lineups with a slew of rough, tough, romp-ready platforms — but nobody does it quite like Jeep. The famed off-road vehicle manufacturer always manages to outdo themselves with their annual Easter Safari in Moab, Utah. And this time around, they’ve outfitted their adversarial Gladiator with a number of retro parts harkening back to the brand’s iconic ‘80s vehicle.

The 2019 Jeep Gladiator JT Scrambler is only one of the manufacturer’s insane new concepts — all of which are primed and ready to spit some sand at the company’s anticipated Easter Safari. Based on the original 1981 CJ-8, this updated climber sports a number of Mopar-approved aftermarket parts, 17-inch performance wheels, and a newly adapted rollbar in case things get heavy. A cold air intake and cat-back exhaust system help the engine to breathe a bit easier, while the vehicle’s premium brown-leather interior and Punk’N Metallic Orange colorway further define the JT’s nostalgic 1980s-era inspiration.
