If Vivo isn’t the first name you think of when it comes to innovative smartphone technology, you’d be surprised to know they were the first to offer in-display fingerprint sensors, notchless all-screen displays, and even pop-up selfie cameras. Now, the Chinese tech firm is setting their sights on hardcore gamers with the “I Quest On and On” smartphone.
The IQOO is stacked with powerful hardware including a 6.41” 2,340 x 1,080 AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, a glass back that features an LED display capable of 16.8 million colors, and a vapor cooling system to mitigate overheating. For gamers, the device features two stealthy index finger pressure buttons for use in landscape mode that mimic the functionality of a console controller. The IQOO offers a 4,000mAh battery, a 45-minute charge time, three rear cameras, and up to 12GB of ram and 256GB of storage. While it’s only available now in China, Vivo does have plans to launch the gaming phone in other parts of the world.
