Holiday homes aren’t always isolated to seasonal visits, and it’s more than acceptable to create a space that can be utilized whenever you feel the need to get away. As was the intention behind PPAA’s Aculco Project, a holiday home turned enamored escape that focuses on a resolution from the qualms of contemporary life.

The Aculco Project lies atop a hill just outside of Aculco, Mexico, and serves as a transitionary living quarter for occupants who seek seclusion and severance from the chaotic world. Lush green grass and beautiful trees surround the home, administering etherial isolation that’s both therapeutic and introspective. Minimalist concrete construction principals and wooden extremities outline the exterior of the dwelling, while inside, clay floors, wood, glass, and quarry stone are left in their unfinished state. A variety of windows offer beautiful views of the surrounding hillside, while a front-front facing patio and furnished living area provide opportunities for essential socialization.
