Eight years ago, Bulleit introduced their rye whiskey — a game-changing spirit perfect for crafting prohibition-era cocktails that would go on to become a budget-friendly favorite amongst bartenders and imbibers around the world. But before that, the brand had the wherewithal to set some of their rye aside to be aged for at least twelve years. Now, that aging has finished.

The fifth addition to the brand’s catalog, Bulleit Rye 12-Year-Old is a small-batch spirit that’s been aged and matured in charred oak barrels, imparting a smooth smokiness to the nose and tail end of the whiskey, balanced perfectly by the spicy up-front notes we’ve all come to know and love. The profile is also said to be dry with crisp flavors of pear, toffee, and just a hint of graham cracker spice. And with an ABV of 46%, this promises to be an excellent liquor either mixed into warm cold-weather cocktails or sipped on its own. Pricing is set at $50 a bottle.

Purchase: $50
