Not long ago, Toyota unveiled the long-awaited GR Supra, an iconic throwback to the manufacturer’s original offering that rose to stardom through a prolific tuning community. While the new Supra wasn’t what everyone was expecting, it didn’t take long for the Japanese automaker to solicit their in-house tuning company, TRD, for an update to the car’s exterior style.
The TRD Carbon package touches upon the vehicle’s finest design principles, retaining a sleek, beautiful outline that’s made all the more magnificent through the use of the world’s leading composite material. A new carbon fiber front spoiler and side plate arrive alongside side skirts, rear bumper trim, and a rear spoiler lip that sport the innovative material. To lighten the car even further, the company has introduced a set of 19-inch alloy wheels in black that add a menacing look to the 3.0-liter twin turbo. Mechanically, the GR Supra is as much the same platform as when it arrived, sporting 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Right now, TRD’s carbon performance package is still in development, so keep your eyes peeled for Toyota’s announcement regarding an official release.
