Bodega Cove By Pan Abode

Catagory: Living

For residents in the southernmost reaches of Vancouver, British Columbia, life among the pines is as palpable as a smooth, distilled spirit. Finding solace in the entirely humanist expectation of secluded living, an exclusive island dwelling that presides over the densely forested regions surrounding the large Canadian city serves as the perfect location for Pan Abode’s Bodega Cove.

Decades have passed since the original construction of Bodega’s red cedar cabins — five separate, timber-clad dwellings that dot the coast of B.C.’s Galiano Island. And while the regionally iconic visionaries at Pan Abode were the first to erect the beauteous pre-fabricated properties, it was design enthusiast Jesse Keefer who saw their true potential. Each home was completely renovated, starting with new foundations, roofs, electrical wiring, and updated pleasantries to bring the spaces into modernity. One and two-bedroom variants are dressed in high-quality, locally-sourced furnishings, while craftsman from the surrounding wilds were enlisted to help with metal fabrication, wood milling, and ceramic work. Warm cedar interiors are brought to life through large windowed facades framing the island’s coastline, skylights that provide a bevy of natural light, and a simple principle that spurns nostalgic receptors for all who call Bodega Cove home.
