The Pacific Northwest is home to a plethora of nostalgic imagery — from old shipyards and archaic fishing towns, all the way to dark, fog-filled forests and melancholic weather. It’s also home to some of the most talented classic vehicle customizers in North America. Now, a legendary local shop has unveiled their most ambitious project yet — a 1964 Porsche 356 C4S that utilizes an entirely exclusive AWD system.

Oregon’s Emory Motorsports is known within the automotive industry as one of this generation’s premier personalized Porsche 356 builders — and their innovative new take on Porsche’s 1964 classic has only brought them closer to immortal reverence. Built as a special order for a winter-fairing client who wanted a dependable C4S for East Coast ski trips, the body of a 1964 356C was bizarrely married with an AWD 1990 911 C4 chassis — and following four long years of development, the vehicle was finally completed. Introducing a proprietary Emory-Rothsport 2.4-liter “Outlaw-4” engine and dual Weber 48 IDA carburetors, the vehicle boasts a comfortable 200 horsepower and a G64 5-speed AWD manual gearbox. Alongside customized green leather coachwork and tactile interfaces like an Outlaw shift knob, MOMO Heritage steering wheel, and a Tilton pedal assembly, a CAD-constructed, 3D-printed roof rack crafted by the vehicle’s owner adorns the top of the Porsche — providing the perfect stow solution for winter gear.
