Home video game console manufacturers do not have a history of being kind to modders — even when it comes down to something as simple as expanding your hard drive storage. But things have been slowly improving, at least in that vein. And now Seagate has made another leap forward with their officially-licensed 2TB PS4 Game Drive.
Seagate had previously worked with Microsoft to build an Xbox One-friendly external hard drive, but this is their first foray with Sony. And that spells great news for PlayStation 4 owners everywhere, as the console was only recently updated to start accepting these non-integrated devices for use. While you don’t have to use a Sony-approved hard drive, the brand is claiming that this one, in particular, is optimized for use with the PS4, promising faster transfer speeds and fewer glitches when compared to the competition. Whatever the case, two terabytes of plug-in storage gives you space for roughly 50 extra games with very little fuss. Pick one up today for $110.
