America’s beloved SUV received more than visual upgrades with its first full redesign since 2011. The 2020 Ford Explorer is leaner and meaner than ever, as the innovative thinkers at the American multinational motor company reinvented the ride from the ground up.

With a lustrous dropping roofline, pronounced shoulder and fender bulges, and a shorter grille, the rugged SUV is one handsome ride, but it still looks familiar. However, the Explorer has a rear-wheel drive platform this time around, ditching the front-wheel drive of the older models. And, shaving off 200 lbs from its predecessor, the vehicle has 20 more ponies for extra power. If you get the Premium trim with a twin-turbocharged V6, you’ll enjoy 365 horsepower with 390 lb-ft of torque. When it comes to carrying capacity, the new Ford with a V6 can tow 5,600 lbs, which is 600 lbs more than the previous model. The SUV also has drive assist technology, active park assist, and reverse brake assist. This revamped 2020 Explorer will have a base price of $33,860.

Purchase: $33,860
