With their long racing history and pension for putting out high-performance supercars, McLaren is no stranger to imbuing their vehicle offerings with big-time specs. But the folks at Hennessey Performance appear to be of the mind that everything could use a bit of tweaking and improving, as evidenced by their newly-unveiled 2019 McLaren 600LT.

Unfortunately, the details of this particular release are pretty scarce — relegated primarily to some enticing photos. But there is one thing we know for sure: this car is getting boosted up from 592 horsepower up to a whopping 800. For those keeping score, that’s an additional 208 ponies — meaning the increase in power is greater than the entire engine output of a brand-new base model Honda Civic. They’re also promising to drop weight on this track-focused rocket, so we’ll probably see some alterations to the body and interior bits, as well, though that remains to be seen. Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see this thing in action.
