Ducati’s high-brow style is almost immediately recognizable, whether it’s associated with their trademark sports bikes or their thoughtfully crafted cruisers. Now, the famed Italian motorcycle brand has finally revealed production plans for the new 2019 Diavel — a second generation sibling of the mischevious original platform — and this time, it’s packing higher performance specs, improved body lines, and an extremely assertive road presence.

The Diavel 1260 was first unveiled in late 2018, sporting a six-speed Testastretta DVT 1262 engine that utilizes Desmodromic Variable Timing, Ducati’s proprietary valve operation that allows for optimal valve events from the first rev of the engine, all the way through the bike’s highest RPM range. While the 1,262cc engine cranks out an astounding amount of power (roughly 159 horsepower and 95 foot-pounds of torque), an upgraded chassis setup utilizing Bosch cornering ABS and a reworked riding position provide the ultimate in handling and control. And if that doesn’t get you all worked up, a performance-focused “S” version of the Diavel will also hit showroom floors in February — featuring an upgraded Ohlins suspension, improved braking capabilities, and Ducati’s Quick Shift Evo as a standard offering.

Purchase: $20,000
