2019 Volkswagen Amarok AT35 By Arctic Trucks

For those not aware, the Icelandic vehicle customizers at Arctic Trucks have made a name for themselves by building winter-conquering 4x4s perfect for the frozen north. In fact, it was one of their trucks driven to the North Pole by the gents at Top Gear. Now, they’re back with another snow-going build in their 2019 Volkswagen Amarok AT35.

As you might expect from a brand with a reputation like the one earned by Arctic Trucks, their first go at VW’s already-capable Amarok pickup truck is a doozy. For starters, they lifted it at both the front and rear, and equipped it with flared wheel arches to suit new ginormous all-terrain tires, and gave the bed a cover to turn it into a more habitable area safe from the elements. That tail end is also equipped with a wealth of winter-ready onboard adventure gear, including a generator, fire extinguisher, defibrillator first aid kit, and even a cappuccino machine. Still equipped with the original low-HP, yet very capable, 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine, this Bavarian Behemoth is ready for the coldest of expeditions.
