Ultima’s 1,200HP RS Is A Customizable Supercar Powerhouse

In the world of automotive tuning, there are few companies that can hold a candle to Ultima — a platform (and kit) builder that’s unleashed a torrent of amazing vehicles over the past three decades. To expand on its proven track record, the British manufacturer has recently revealed an attractive new model that’s sure to put the hurt on any unassuming supercars out there: the less-than-subtle RS.

The RS is a testament to customizable power, hitting the market atop an adaptable chassis that’s been built to house nearly all of Chevrolet’s current LT V8 engines. From the 480-horsepower LT1, all the way to the monstrous 1,200-horsepower LT5, buyers will be able to pick and choose their powerplant of choice. To make things even more interesting, they’ll also be able to decide upon a handful of other intricacies, including right-hand- or left-hand-drive configurations, 362-millimeter disc brakes, and six-piston calipers. The vehicle’s exceptional numbers are handled by a Porsche-sourced six-speed manual transmission, complementing the RS’ featherweight facade.
