2019 Triumph Street Scrambler
With 2019 production and unveiling in full swing, it’s no surprise that Triumph has strategically brought forward their 2019 models just in time for holiday wish lists. What is surprising, however, are the upgrades the iconic brand opted to include — thus making the already drool-worthy Street Scrambler even more sought after.
One such notable difference is the bike’s lighter weight, approximately ten pounds, thanks to the likes of a magnesium cam cover, lighter clutch, lighter crankshaft, balance shaft and dead shaft. These new features, when combined, offer up a 10-horsepower increase to 65 horsepower and 59 ft-lbs torque output with 18% more peak power than previous models. Also, since this is a Scrambler, after all, Triumph opted for reliable Brembo brakes as standard for the 2019 model along with new rain and road riding modes, ABS, and switchable traction control that now pairs well with the bike’s new Metzeler Dualsport tires. Triumph is also offering what they’re calling “inspiration kits” for the bike since the Scrambler is so prone to customization, in addition to a USB port, LED taillight, and immobilizer for some tech enhancements.
