While it’s not uncommon to come across Moto2 superbikes, or premier class racers from satellite or CRT teams, it’s extremely seldom that genuine factory MotoGP prototype race machines come up for public sale — in fact, the last time was in 2012 when Ducati sold a pair of its Desmo racers. Despite the immense rarity, the Red Bull KTM Factory team is currently selling two of its RC16 race bikes from the 2019 season.
Ridden by Pol Espargaro, the RC16s are built around the Austrian outfit’s signature steel frames and feature carbon fiber swing-arms, forged magnesium rims, full bodywork including aerodynamic winglets, and what’s legitimately some of the best braking and suspension hardware that money can buy. Roaring through a full Akrapovic race exhaust, the RC16 is powered by a 1,000cc V4 engine that makes over 265hp and can exceed speeds of 212mph thanks to an ultra-light sub-350lb weight. On top of the bike, the sale includes a signed pair of Pol Espargaro’s race leathers and helmet, and a VIP MotoGP event pack that features a meet and greet with factory riders. The 2019 Red Bull KTM Factory RC16 MotoGP prototypes are available through KTM for $339,150, with more information offered through the link below.
