Mercedes Benz has just released a new model, and they’re saving the best iteration – for first. Traditionally, Mercedes will release their Edition 1 of a new model for the first year following the commercial release, and the limited run will have a host of features to which future buyers won’t be privy. The moral of the story is this: if you want the best version of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S, then you had better act fast.

The Edition 1 comes with exterior and interior upgrades that won’t be a part of the mainstream commercial run. Features like the AMG Aerodynamics Package to quicken the pace with an enhanced front splitter, an optimized diffuser, and a rear spoiler for an injection of rally-car razzle-dazzle. Magma Grey and black Nappa leather swathe the interior, with additional adornments of yellow and blue stitching that won’t be present in the commercial line. In the belly of the beast burns a biturbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 630 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. Do you want to fast? Then heed a legendary racer’s famous mantra – if you ain’t first you’re last – and get in line for the AMG Gt 63 S Edition 1, yesterday.
