The overlanding community welcomed the Lexus GX with open arms with its luxury style and off-road-capable attributes. With the 2019 Lexus GXOR SUV Concept, the iconic Japanese automaker is offering the idea of the ultimate adventure ride that embraces challenges off-the-beaten-path.
Equipping the GXOR with Icon Vehicle Dynamic shocks with remote reservoirs, billet control arms, delta joints, and giving the ride a 2.5-inch lift, the rugged SUV is a true continent-trekker. The beefy ride sits on 18-inch F-Sport wheels wrapped in 33-inch 275/70 General Grabber X3 tires, and the chassis is protected by CBI frame sliders and full underbody armor so you can stay focused on chasing the horizon. It also has a Warn 9.5 XPS winch, Maxtrax recovery boards, Eezi-Awn K9 roof rack, Safari snorkel, 50-inch Rigid light bar, and an Overland Solar 160-watt panel. And it’s hauling a Patriot Campers X1H trailer with an electronically-deployed tent, 40-gallon tank, and twin burner stove. Whether you’re exploring the backcountry or you need a ride for the zombie apocalypse, the GXOR is equipped for anything. The GXOR is on display now in Ouray, Colorado at the Toyota FJ Summit.
